Radicchio
This tasty vegetable originates from Italy, where it is quite popular.
It is usually not eaten raw, but it is grilled or mixed into warm dishes for color and texture.
Used raw, as a base ingredient of salad, it adds color and slight bitterness to salads.
It is important to only add small pieces, or it will dominate the rest of the greens.
